Xtratherm’s acquisition by European giant Unilin in 2016 required a strategic brand transition to unify its UK and Ireland insulation business. The challenge was aligning Xtratherm’s specification and technical-led brand with Unilin’s customer-focused, end-user-focused approach.

The challenge wasn’t just scale—it was also pace. In less than a year, we had to overhaul all print and digital collateral while developing strategic plans to smoothly communicate Xtratherm’s transition to Unilin Insulation.

Our process was all in. We fully integrated with Xtratherm’s marketing team, quickly grasping the scale of the business and what needed to be done. Regular meetings with the internal team and senior management helped us plan strategically, ensuring resources and costs were optimised. With a fixed launch date, we built anticipation in the market while overhauling a massive volume of product information and technical data. Daily communication and regular check-ins kept everything on track for a seamless transition.

The transition from Xtratherm to Unilin Insulation was launched successfully in January 2023, elevating the brand with a modern, professional identity.
